$99 Hop-On Tours

At $99, hop-on tours are the most economical way to visit some of Virginia’s finest wineries. Whether an individual, couple, or small group, the hop on tour is a winery adventure for all. Relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and ride as you are chauffeured to your destinations. Purchase a ticket and hop on board at your appointed location and ride to at least three destinations of vineyards, breweries, or distilleries in the Piedmont region. Enjoy tastings at each location without the worry of having to drive (tasting fees additional.) Our hop on tours are sold on a first come, first served basis and frequently sell out, so book as far in advance as possible.  Once we have reached full capacity for a tour, the tour will become unavailable to book for that month.  However, all of the tours are run on a monthly basis only on Saturdays, so if you couldn’t book it this month, next month is always available. Remember, our hop on tours are very popular, so be sure to book in advance to experience all of the best wine, ciders, and brews of the Piedmont region!

Culpeper Departure – Belmont, Far Gohn, Beer Hound, Pen Druid

Our first stop is Belmont Farm Distillery in Culpeper, Virginia is best known for their one of a kind whiskey.  With whiskey made in there genuine solid copper pot still, Belmont Farm Distillery is known for providing quality distilling processes with all of the Virginia flair of a great drink.  Our next stop is Far Gohn Brewery prides itself in never using filters, animal products for fining, pasteurization, or any other harmful practices in crafting their beer.  Their beer is simply crisp, artisanal beer crafted from the finest of the ingredients. Next up is Beer Hound Brewery, located in downtown Culpeper, Virginia. Founded in 2012, Beer Hound Brewery specializes in serving fresh artisan and craft beer. Next on our stop is Copper Fox Brewery, a distillery that focuses on creating mature, crisp malt.  Inspired by the distilleries of Scotland, the owners of Copper Fox make mature one of a kind whiskeys that provide international flavor but a Virginia back at home feel.  Last on our trip is Pen Druid Brewery, a brewery that specializes in spontaneity and creativity.  Started by the rock-band Pontiak, these three brothers focus on mixed and wild fermentation processes that make their beers one of a kind.

Orange Departure – Reynard Florence, Barboursville, Honah Lee

Our first part of the tour comes in from Reynard Florence Vineyard, a beautiful vineyard located in Barboursville, VA. Barboursville, full of rich history dating back to 1814, is a town full of complex history and tradition and Reynard Florence Vineyard highlights that in their great wine and tradition.  Our next stop lands us in Barboursville, Virginia at Barboursville Vineyards.  An estate of wine once envisioned by the Founding Father Thomas Jefferson, Barboursville Vineyards makes sure that a bit of history goes into the making  of their specialized Cabernets and Viogniers.  Our final stop leads us at Honah Lee Vineyards, a quaint vineyard located in Gordonsville, Virginia.  With delicious baked goods from Miss B coupled with the most popular wines of Virginia, Honah Lee Vineyards is the perfect place to end our unique tour.

Culpeper Departure – DuCard, Prince Michel, Early Mountain

Our first stop is DuCard Vineyards. For the past decade, DuCard Vineyards has dedicated themselves to great wine and great customer service, accruing a following of loyal customers over the years.  Because of this following, they have been able to make a name for themselves on the Virginia wine scene. Next up on our tour is Prince Michel Vineyard & Winery.  Located in the heart of Leon, Virginia, Prince Michel is known for their award winning wine and beautiful venue.  Their wine has won competitions all over the world and they bring some of that award winning flavor right in our own backyard.  Last on our journey is Early Mountain Vineyards.  Early Mountain Vineyards is a great way to end our trip as Early Mountain Vineyards specializes making every wine-tasting experience one of a kind.  From their Chardonnays to their famous Rosés, Early Mountain Vineyards will provide an unforgettable experience.

Orange Departure – Grace Estate, Stinson, White Hall, Moss

Grace Estate Winery is the definition of  the perfect mix of modern and rustic.  Situated in the heart of Crozet, Virginia, Grace Estate Winery with their arrays of Courtstowns and Merlots is the perfect start to this unique tour.  Our next stop is Stinson Vineyards situated in proximity to Grace Estate.  Stinson Vineyards is a small father daughter vineyard that specializes in “garagiste” wine with a Virginia flair.  With amazing wine and aesthetics, it is just the right combination of Europe meets North America. Not too far from Stinson is our next vineyard, White Hall Vineyards.   What makes White Hall Vineyards standout goes far beyond its award-winning wine.  The ambience surrounding the vineyard has been described as “pure romance” and provides an astonishing view of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We end out trip with Moss Vineyards in Nortsonsville, Virginia.  Located in proximity to Albemarle County, Virginia, this vineyard is nestled in the mountainous Piedmont area. A beautiful environment coupled with great tasting wine makes for an unforgettable experience.

Culpeper Departure – Old House, Barboursville, Honah Lee

Old House Vineyards is the epitome of great wine, great scenery.  Located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Old House Vineyards has acres of vines used to produce some of Virginia’s best wines. Awarded Outstanding Agribusiness of the Year by the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce in 2012, Old House Vineyards is certified in providing you an unforgettable vineyard experience. Next on our trip is Barboursville Vineyards, a historic vineyard not located to far from Jefferson’s Monticello.  A plantation assimilated into a vineyard, Barboursville Vineyards not only provides award-winning wine but a glimpse into historic Virginia.  Our final destination is Honah Lee Vineyards, a quaint vineyard that gives you all the small-town feels of the Virginia’s wine scene.  Home baked goods and amazing wine, Honah Lee Vineyards is the perfect way to end this excursion.

Orange Departure – Starr Hill, Blue Mountain, Three Notch’d

Our tour starts out with a musical background with our first stop at Starr Hill Brewery.  Sharing its space with Starr Hill Music Hall, this brewery specializes in craft and artisanal beer that’s award-winning and unique to the Virginia area.  Our next stops lands us in Nelson County, Virginia at Blue Mountain Brewery.   Nestled in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Blue Mountain Brewery also specializes in artisanal and craft beer and works to maintain  a sense of artistry to their brewery.  We end our brewing expedition with Three Notch’d Road Brewery located back in Charlottesville, VA.  Possessing such a rich history behind the acquisition of their name, this brewery’s mission is to not only serve you great beer but leave you with a rich sense of history.

Orange Departure – Castle Hill, Keswick Hall, Horton, Barboursville

Castle Hill Cider has long since been known for their amazing ciders attributed to their fermenting and bottling processes.  With this first stop on our trip you’ll get to experience not only tasty cider but experience the complex but rich history of this winery.  Our next stop is the award-winning Keswick Hall.  Recently award the 2016 Virginia Governor’s Cup for their 2014 Cabernet Franc Reserve, this vineyard specializes in amazing wine and beautiful landscapes.  We will then head over to Horton Vineyards in Madison County, Virginia.  This vineyard specialized in hand-finding the best grapes possible for the Virginia climate.  So when you open a bottle of their Marsanne or Mourvedre, you know you’re getting the best wine possible made to season and taste.  Our final destination lands us in Barboursville, Virginia at Barboursville Vineyards.  A beautiful vineyard full of the rich history of founding fathers, a trip to Barboursville Vineyards will not only include great time but a great glimpse into Barboursville past.
